Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Research has shown that hypnosis works for about 79% of IBS sufferers who use it, meaning that no further medical intervention is needed, and there is a dramatic decrease in frequency and pain of attacks. Furthermore, those who experience relief, continue to enjoy the benefits for 5-10 years, and the results may prove to be permanent. The 7-session protocol Sharyn uses was developed by researchers at UNC School of Medicine. Hypnosis is also helpful for other functional GI problems, and may afford some measure of relief for some non-functional problems.
