Labyrinths have been called Divine Imprints, and historical remnants date back as far as 25,000 years. They have been found in indigenous religious traditions around the world and were once in over 400 Christian churches in Europe. The labyrinth has only one path, so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. Because reaching the center is assured, the walk is as much about the journey as the goal. The winding path is a

mirror for one’s own life and for the long spiritual journey. The labyrinth is a gateway to an immediate or direct experience with the Source that occurs through grace, rather than the intellectual or mental discourse about God. Because it is a reflection of the walker’s own spiritual journey, the experience of walking the labyrinth is equally profound for people of diverse spiritual traditions and for those unclear and searching.
